About Us

CCDC connects low-income residents in Central Illinois with safe and affordable housing opportunities.

Originally founded in 1992 under the name Christian County Integrated Community Services (CCICS), our organization has served Christian County for more than 25 years.

In 2018, we changed our name to CCDC and became a 501(c)4 to better reflect our structure and our focus on social welfare issues. In 2019, CCDC merged with Regional Housing Development, allowing us to expand critical services to eight counties throughout Central Illinois.

Today’s affordable housing crisis has created an enormous demand for quality housing. CCDC works to break down the barriers our residents face, strengthen the local housing market, and develop decent, safe, affordable housing.

Collectively, our staff’s experience spans 15 years. This gives us the expertise needed to advocate for and manage housing where you can be proud to live.

We currently oversee more than 1,000 rental units, many of which are handicap-accessible and compliant with the standards of the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA).

Affordable housing has a profound impact on communities.

The high cost of housing often forces families to sacrifice critical needs like food, transportation or healthcare. But access to a decent, affordable home provides crucial stability to these families. It can improve quality of life, educational outcomes, economic security and even neighborhood property values.

You can be part of the solution by partnering with us.

In addition to the units owned by CCDC Property Management & Real Estate, we partner with owners to manage more properties and to implement new housing development.

Affordable, quality housing brings security and stability to vulnerable families and helps to prevent homelessness. Contact us to find out how you can get involved in your community.
